Bike To Market Day May 18th | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Downtown Ellensburg | Free Ride your bike to the Ellensburg Farmers Market. Park or walk your bike in the downtown. Bike Month Activities May 18th | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | 4th Ave. & Pine Street parking lot (south of The Ridge) | Free Giveaways for bikes, helmets, lights, and bike bells. Learn about local trails. Join a community ride (Family Ride or Ride to Kitti-tas Depot). Free parking at City Hall. Accepting old bike tubes for recycling and spare bicycle parts. Central Washington Disability Resources will have a hand pedal bike and an adult 3-wheel bike available to try. Family Ride – 5.38 Miles Roundtrip May 18th | Ride leaves at 10:30 a.m. | Ride leaves from 4th Ave. & Pine Street parking lot (south of The Ridge) | Free Want a shorter ride? Join a leisurely ride around the paved PTC reconnection trail in Ellensburg. Goes to North Alder Street Park and back to the starting location. Ride To Kittitas Depot – 13 Miles Roundtrip May 18th | Ride leaves at 11 a.m. | Ride leaves from 4th Ave. & Pine Street parking lot (south of The Ridge) | Free Join an off-road ride from downtown Ellensburg to the Kittitas Depot via the Palouse to Cascades Trail. Skinny bike tires are not recommended. Kittitas Depot open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about the Depot’s history, the restoration project, and the 7 1/2” Gauge Riding Railroad project by the Kittitas County Railroad History Association. Riders will receive a coupon for a free beverage from the Kittitas Cafe. Explore Kittitas and return at your own pace.
