Huffman Farms U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, Haunted Forest & Corn Maze
Saturday’s & Sunday’s, Sept. 28 – Oct. 27 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Huffman Farms
Escape the city and visit Huffman Farms for an authentic farm experience this fall! Pick your picture-perfect pumpkin straight from the patch, jump aboard a hayride, get lost in the corn maze, let your kiddos loose in the Kid’s Zone, make some four-legged friends in the petting zoo, indulge in some farm-fresh cooking from the Silo Cafe, and enjoy so much more during your time at the farm. Even better, admission, hayrides, the petting zoo, and the duck races are free! Enjoy a classic celebration of fall with Huffman Farms this season every Saturday and Sunday, September 28 through October 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After dark, Huffman Farms becomes a spooky Haunted Forest and Corn Maze! If you dare to enter, you’re sure to have the bejeebers scared out of you. Make it out alive, however, and you can warm up alongside the fire pit and enjoy a warm drink or roast some marshmallows and make a s’more. The frightfully fun Haunted Forest and Corn Maze will be happening Fridays and Saturdays, October 11 through October 26 from 7-10 p.m.


Ellensburg Film Festival

The Ellensburg Film Festival is an event that draws film lovers to the Kittitas Valley each year. Showing everything from national and international features to shorts and documentaries, this festival offers the chance for everyone to see a film they’ll enjoy. This year, the Ellensburg Film Festival is celebrating its 15th annual festival with the addition of retro classics such as Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, Birdcage, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
WindFall Cider Fest & Roots Music
Oct. 5 | 3-11 p.m. | Kittitas Valley Event Center
The perfect pairing of cider and Roots music meet again to celebrate the colors of fall in Ellensburg on October 5 at the Windfall Cider Fest. Cider houses from around the region will bring enough varieties to excite even the most experienced taster. From dry to sweet and hopped to fruited, there’s a cider for everyone, and you can try them all! As you sip these local ciders, enjoy the music of four live bands, playing everything from Bluegrass to Folk to Americana. Get ready to experience a full day of tunes and tastes at the WindFall Cider Fest, taps are open from 3-9 p.m.


CWU Homecoming Week
Oct. 7 – Oct. 12
Central Washington University is back in session and the school year is being officially kicked off with CWU Homecoming Week, October 7 through October 12. CWU students can show their Wildcat pride and get to know other students by attending a host of electrifying university events. Watch Montana State University Billings get “served” by the CWU volleyball team on October 10. Laugh it up with award-winning comedian and actor Joel McHale on October 11, then head to Wellington’s Wildfire for a bonfire, games, music, food, and more! Are you a Wildcat alum? Join the CWU Alumni Association for Alumni After Hours, with live music with Chuck Boom. Wake up early on October 12 to finish out the spirited week with the Wildcat 5k, the CWU football team playing under the lights, and so much more!
Junk-tiquen in the Burg
Oct. 19 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Kittitas Valley Event Center
On the hunt for one-of-a-kind upcycled, repurposed, or vintage goods? You might just find that elusive item at the 6th Annual Junktiquen in the Burg Fall Show on Saturday, October 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kittitas Valley Event Center. Grab a friend and head to Ellensburg to shop for junkin’ treasures, jewelry, antiques, vintage, upcycled, and repurposed finds. Vendors come from all corners of the Pacific Northwest, although many are Washington natives, giving Junk-tiquers a true feeling of “buying local.” Find more information here and then get junkin’ in Ellensburg!


Trick or Treat!
Oct. 31 | 3-6 p.m. | Downtown Ellensburg
Trick or treat your kiddos by taking them trick-or-treating through the historic downtown Ellensburg on Halloween night! Participating businesses, ranging from restaurants to boo-tiques, will be welcoming hundreds of costumed kids with bowls of candy and sweet treats. Signs in the windows of downtown businesses will indicate participation. Join us for this safe, family-friendly Halloween celebration, it’s sure to be a “gourd” time!
